Italy is known for it’s amazing wines, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco, and Chianti, just to name a few, but now another type of alcoholic beverage has moved in… beer. Craft been is starting to become a success all over Italy and Rome has embraced this movement full on. In 1996 there were just 7 craft breweries in Italy, now there are more than 445 with the numbers still growing.
If you’re up for a little change and would like to try some Italian craft beer while on vacation here in Rome, these are three great places to go: Bir e Fud, Open Baladin, and The Blind Pig. At these restaurants you can hang out with your friends, relax, eat well, and of course drink craft beer all at the same time. The staff are all very knowledgable about their beers and can help customers pair the right types with their meals.
